I think I mentioned earlier that this is a weird story. And now you know why.

This story was originally going to be about following Dirk the Head around on a typical night of crime, with the Mr. Nixon/Croc Head story being entirely separate. On its own the Dirk the Head story couldn’t generate much of a plot and the Nixon/Croc Head story felt too much like “Lightning Raid” (which is exclusive to the First Offence print comic). Combining them solved those issues, and made things really, really weird.

I erased almost all of the last panel on this page after I’d finished it. Nixon and the dialogue bubbles were all that survived. Originally Croc Head was just running toward the mall, but it didn’t look good and was kind of boring, so I erased it and had him smash through the door. Smashing = better. The exchange in the last panel wasn’t in the script, but the line “cows are weak!” popped into my head and I HAD to use it. To make a weird page even weirder.
