Rent-A-Thug #149 – Rules For Criminal Success #89

I came up with the idea of the Redecorator early on in developing Rent-A-Thug. It’s basically a drum-fed semi-automatic shotgun but with a cartoonishly over-the-top power level. As demonstrated in today’s comic. It’s not unlike the BFG from Doom but with a very short range. Charlie No-Aim tends to be the one who gets to play with it since it’s pretty much the only gun he can reliably shoot somebody with. This is the first comic featuring the redesigned Redecorator, which pretty much just adds a bit from the Reutotech Protecta (a South-African shotgun), most notably the vertical grip in the front, to the original Redecorator design.

I’m somewhat displeased that I haven’t been able to draw anything Rent-A-Thug related in about a week now. On the plus side, I’m getting paid to do the art for a comic by a local writer. And I drew the first Frank Baron, NSO page in a couple of months. In an ideal world I’ll be able to finish the second Frank Baron story and the book I’m doing the art for in the next few weeks, at which point Rent-A-Thug stuff can take priority again.

Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend! I’ll be playing some Arkham Horror, and will be back with more comics on Monday.
