Rent-A-Thug #123 – Great Thugs in History part 22
I managed to fit everything I needed to into this page, and so the tale of Charles of Poor Accuracy clocks in at a final count of 22 pages, which happens to be the length of the average print comic. I don’t plan on printing this one anytime soon, though. First Offence isn’t even a month old yet and I’ve already got two more books in the works (the collected Rules For Criminal Success and the follow-up to First Offence), so this one is going to have to hang out on the web for a while before finding itself on dead trees.
Robert Hoodwink dying from bloodletting is actually a reference to the Robin Hood legend, in which Robin goes to an abbey or priory or something like that to get his blood let and cure some illness. The prioress poisons him during the bloodletting and he dies. Robert Hoodwink’s fate is similar but much dumber.
I’m working on creating a header image for the site to make that area a bit more interesting than it is now. I drew a pretty cool one but it turned out to be both too tall and not wide enough. I’ll probably post it in the illustration section and take another crack at a new header image.
Thanks for reading, see you Wednesday when we’ll revisit the Rules For Criminal Success.
