Rent-A-Thug #181 – King of the Streets part 11

The COPS rampage continues, this time with less speedlines. The first panel took a really long time to draw because I was determined to use an up-shot, which I can’t remember the technical name of. It’s a shot that I really like but don’t use a lot because it’s really hard to draw, especially with the art style I use for Rent-A-Thug. I think it worked out in this instance. Gives the COPS a nice air of authority and phyiscal imposition. The inset panel at the bottom left of the page involved me standing at the top of my kitchen stairs with one hand out in front of me to figure out what it would look like.

It’s not as clear after the page was reduced in size for the web, but there’s a lot of little details in the background of panel three that I had a lot of fun with.

My cold seems to be going away, which is nice. I had enough energy to draw for the first time in about a week, which was very nice. It’s looking like I’ll be able to finish next Wednesday’s comic later tonight or tomorrow, and Friday’s comic by the end of the weekend (hopefully). Yay productivity.

Thanks for reading! Have a good weekend and I’ll see you back here on Monday!
