Rent-A-Thug #88 – Rules For Criminal Success #33

Cops shooting my main cast became a bit of a trend in the strips for a little while. Not that I’m against that trend, because as I’m sure you all know by now I like to draw violence. There’s at least one more strip following this trend in the near future (at least that I can think of). There will probably be more later, too. There’s 40-some strips left in the Rules For Criminal Success series so I’m sure that more of my cast members will be shot by the Five-O before it’s done. I also like understated reactions to something bad happening (like “ow” as a reaction to two bullet wounds to the torso).

This update is later than normal because I was working on formatting pages for the First Offence book and pretty much just forgot about it. So far I’ve got all four covers (and by that I mean front, inside front, back, and inside back, none of those alternate cover shenanigans that the big companies like to pull) and 18 of 36 story pages formatted for the printer. The rest should get finished off tomorrow. Chances are the book will be ready and off the presses at some point in March, which is good since it gives me a good head start on the Edmonton Collectible Toy and Comic Show in case something slows down the process somewhere along the line.

That’s it from me today, see you Friday with another strip. Thanks for reading!
