Soldier Boy makes another appearance which involves explosions. I think this might be the first time he uses a bolt-action rifle, although it’s since become one of his trademark pieces of equipment. I can’t remember if I mentioned it already but his design was inspired by the album cover of “The Green CD/DVD” by Non-Phixion and general World War 1 military aesthetics (which are especially prevalent in this particular strip). I remember part of the inspiration for this strip was wondering how well militaries actually kept track of where they planted landmines and how many times that might come back to bite them on the ass. Which is of course exactly what happens to Soldier Boy.

I’ve got some site stuff in the works that will hopefully be done fairly soon (some of it is fairly minor, some more substantial).
