Drawing Johnny Mushface as a bunny wearing a Napoleonic infantry uniform is fun. Good thing I’ll get to draw plenty of those types of uniform for the War of 1812 comic that I’ve been doing prep work for lately.

I’ve bashed Dustin Penner a few times in my Oilers-related blogs, since he wasn’t very good last year. But man did he make me look stupid last night. Two goals and three assists for five points in a 6-4 comeback win over the Columbus Blue Jackets was good enough for the NHL’s First Star of the Week. 14 points in 9 games was good enough for 4th place in league scoring. Both of those things were good enough to make a lot of hockey pundits look silly. I would imagine that most Oilers fans are also pretty happy that the Dany Heatley trade didn’t go through, since Penner, Cogliano, and Smid have combined to be SIGNIFICANTLY better than Heatley has been with the Sharks.
