Rent-A-Thug #275 – The Rabbit Hole part 18

The Oilers lost goaltender Dwayne Roloson to the New York Islanders, but more than made up for the loss by signing veteran backstop Nikolai Khabibulin from Chicago. The ‘Bulin Wall has a Stanley Cup and a pair of Olympic Gold Medals to his credit, so I think he’ll be a great addition to the Oilers. And it can’t hurt future starter Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers to have a mentor like Khabibulin. Unfortunately, the Oilers have the maximum number of players under contract right now, which means they can’t capitalize on the free agent market until they shed some contracts.
Thanks for reading! Have a good weekend and I’ll see you back here on Monday!
