I wanted to draw a hallway in the background of the first panel walk-and-talk, but then I determined that the easiest way to draw perspective was not to draw it at all. Laziness gets a bad rap, but sometimes it works out rather nicely.

Three-eyed Phil kind of came out of nowhere, but I liked the joke so I kept it.

In non-comic-related news, I’m presenting a paper I wrote about the development of the ambulance system in the American Civil War at an academic conference tomorrow. I can’t decide whether I’m excited or nervous. I’m certain, however, that I will complain vigourously about having to get up early.
