Rent-A-Thug #168 – Rules For Criminal Success #1

And that’s it, the final Rules For Criminal Success strip. I’m still undecided as to whether or not I want to start a new series of strips or just focus on full-page stories. Perhaps a bit of both.

I’ve said this a bunch of times about other strips, but it took me a while to come up with a visual for this one. Charlie No-Aim running from the cop kept getting more complex, too. Originally he was just running away, then I added jumping the fence, then the rest of it. The car is referenced from the Infernus in the Grand Theft Auto IV art book, pretty much entirely because it was the only car that had a good shot of the back.

On Friday I’ll be posting the first half of a short story which I still haven’t come up with a title for. Calling it a story is kind of generous, though. It’s more of a bizarre two page conversation between Walt and G-Fresh as opposed to an actual story.

Today was the first day of the University Fall semester. It was also the first appearance of Rent-A-Thug in the Gateway this school year (ok, technically it was released Monday for orientation, but most people didn’t get it until today). Those of you who saw it also know that I posted it on this site months ago.

Thanks for reading, see you Friday!
