Rent-A-Thug #125 – Rules For Criminal Success #84
Lately I’ve been all about sound effects that take up an entire panel and manage to imply an entire action sequence without actually having to draw one. I actually really like drawing action sequences, but in the strip format they aren’t especially effective because there just isn’t enough room. I did the pencils for this strip on Free Comic Book Day at Happy Harbor Comics Vol. 2 in between sketches for customers who donated to the Food Bank. Also, the last word in the caption in the last panel is “synonyms” if you can’t make it out. I didn’t do a very good job of lettering it and re-sizing it for the site didn’t really help.
I’m sure you’ve noticed at this point that I changed the site header to a graphic. I think I might replace it with a bigger one but I think it looks pretty decent.
I also added a new illustration to the Illustrations page. It was intended to be the header but was much too big. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, though, so I posted it in the Illustrations section to get some use out of it.
I’ve already finished all of next week’s updates. My buffer exists again, which is pretty awesome. On that note, have a good weekend and thanks for reading. See you Monday.
