Rent-A-Thug #256 – Charlie No-Aim Goes to College part 9

Back, finally! I had planned to spend the two week break working ahead and rebuilding a buffer. My final paper and final exams took up a bunch of time, then I got some kind of plague. Long story short, I finished this comic last night. This strip exists because I meandered around so much that I thought a reminder of what the point of Charlie going to college in the first place was.

Also, some important scheduling news. From now on, Rent-A-Thug will be updating twice a week, on Monday and Friday. I’ll have to update the title banner, I guess, although I’ve been meaning to get around to that for a while anyway. I’m going to try to update in between with blog posts or new art from whatever I’m working on in between comics. I’m also just about finished the Thugcyclopedia. Finally. It would have been a lot faster if stuff hadn’t kept being added to it as I went along. Once I can link it to post tags system it’ll be ready to go. Shouldn’t be too difficult, just time consuming. The plus side of the new schedule for me is that I’ll have extra time to work on my other projects (the hockey mutant comic is lurking on the territory of becoming a major project, and the WWI comic still gets quite a bit of my time for research, even though I’ve only written a couple of pages).

Also, Free Comic Book Day is this Saturday, May 2nd. I’ll be at Happy Harbor Comics v2
along with local artists Dan Schneider and Melanie Harvey, and pro comics veteran Ty Templeton doing sketches in exchange for Food Bank donations. Guests at the other HH locations include pros Gail Simone, Steve Rolston, and Fiona Staples, as well as local artists including some of the guys from Vicious Ambitious, Trevor Sieben, Paul Lavallee, and some other folks that I can’t remember off the top of my head. Also, Ed the Sock and Liana K. of Ed & Red’s Night Party will be there. I’ll probably do a blog post with full info tomorrow.

Thanks for reading, see you Friday!
